I am a Mechatronics Engineer whose academic focus has been on embedded systems and Artificial Intelligence. Previously worked as a systems’ integration engineer within the embedded systems team for a self-driving vehicle startup in Bangalore, India. He completed his master’s with distinction in Intelligent systems and Robotics from the University of Essex with a dissertation on visually guided control and tracking of a marked vehicle from a drone.

I like spending my time listening to podcasts, reading, or cooking, that is if he hasn’t spent all of it playing video games.
I love eating spicy curries and his go-to comfort food is Pizza and a tub of Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream.

I am the robotics software engineer here at Warrington Robotics. I completed my postgraduate studies at the University of Bath in MSc Robotics and Autonomous systems with Merit. My dissertation focus was on Computer Vision which was about camera surface mapping using feature detection. My Job mainly revolves around Autonomous Navigation, SLAM, Sensor Fusion and Control Systems on Autonomous Guided Vehicles using Robotic Operating System (ROS) in C++ and Python programming language.

I enjoy painting and going to the gym in my free times and yes watching Netflix also counts as a hobby. My favourite food is sushi and I love a good Rhubarb gin and tonic. I have been planning to go to Tomorrowland music festival in Switzerland prior to Pandemic so I am hoping to get to go this summer. But, my ultimate holiday destination is Fiji islands drving my Maserati Lavante, my dream car. I have many motos in life but the top one is to live your life everyday as if it is your last.

From College went into the family run business – Advertising Agency. Eventually took over the reins of the company and moved it into a more technical direction. After retirements changed the dynamic of the company we changed direction to a Direct Mailing Company specialising in digital and mailing’s for Electricity companies (MEB, British Gas, nPower). After a profitable run I felt a change was needed and so started a Programming and Consultancy Business. This eventually led me to the world of PhotoBooths and beyond.

Born in Malta in January 1989, Maurizio has always dreamt of doing something impossible in his life. That’s exactly what he has done 5 years ago when I decided to leave everything and moved to the West Midlands. His Passion was also another reason why he has chosen the West Midlands – West Bromwich Albion. Worked in different industries, like tourism, advertising, construction and entertainment, finance was always something that he wanted to do. After spending 4 years in Leicester studying physics where my final dissertation project was heavily programming based I was keen to begin a career in software development. Working on Photobooths seemed like a fun and interesting place to start.
When I am not in the office I enjoy being outside, hiking and exploring. I am lucky to live in Shropshire which is renowned for its hills and natural beauty. I like to volunteer with the national trust when I have free time, working to maintain a historical site and woodland in kinver.
